When we talk about Human Care at MAAF, we are really just talking about people — real people who are trying to find their way. Many of the folks we meet are dealing with more challenges than most of us realise, and sometimes even the smallest help goes a long way. So we try to step in wherever we can, even if it’s just with basic items or support that makes day-to-day living a bit easier for them.
A lot of the time, it’s not only physical needs they struggle with. Many young people and even adults just need someone to guide them or even listen for once. Every week, we hold mentoring sessions where we talk about life values, choices, and things that honestly matter. These sessions aren’t perfect or overly structured—sometimes conversations go in different directions, but that’s fine. It helps people open up and slowly build confidence again.
Our hope is simple, even if it sounds big. We want them to feel seen and to understand that their situation doesn’t have to define the rest of their lives. Things might be tough now, but they can still move forward. If we can help them take even one small step toward a better future, then we feel like we’re doing something truly meaningful.
