Who We Are
MARY ABIODUN ABIOYE(MAAF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 2011, dedicated to reaching out to provide physical, spiritual assistance and empowerment to charitable initiatives benefitting orphans, widows, widowers, internally displaced persons, and the less-privileged in need to bring about positive social change.
The main objective of the foundation is to assist orphans, widows, widowers, internally displaced persons, and the less-privileged in the communities, to also make available education facilities and infrastructure in rural schools.
MAAF offers a scholarship program to the individual to leave a legacy for posterity.
At the heart of our work is the desire to create opportunities and hope where it is most needed. The foundation focuses on assisting orphans, widows, widowers, displaced persons, and the less-privileged in communities across Nigeria. We also work to improve access to education by providing school facilities, infrastructure, and learning resources, particularly in rural areas where the need is greatest.
To further our impact, MAAF runs a scholarship program designed to nurture talent, encourage learning, and help individuals leave a legacy for future generations. We believe that education is one of the most powerful tools to break the cycle of poverty and transform lives.
In our society, it is all too common to see orphans and widows left in despair after losing their primary breadwinner. Many are forced to fend for themselves with little or no hope for survival. Similarly, frequent insurgencies and conflicts in recent years have displaced countless people from their communities, leaving them in situations of extreme need. There are also those who struggle to make a living due to circumstances beyond their control. MAAF was founded to stand beside these individuals—putting a smile on their faces, restoring hope in their hearts, and showing them that a brighter future is possible. Our commitment is not just to immediate relief but to leaving a lasting legacy of care, empowerment, and opportunity.
We recognize that lasting change requires collaboration. MAAF partners with like-minded foundations, public and private sector organizations, and generous individual donors around the world who share our vision and values. We welcome support from anyone committed to making a difference, helping us extend our reach and amplify our impact in the lives of those who need it most.
