Mary Abiodun Abioye Foundation (MAAF), a social intervention/non-profit organistion just recently carried out a heartfelt philanthropic exercise in Living Faith Church, Goshen where numerous lives were touched. As part of her regular outreach to the underprivileged in the society, MAAF distributed gifts of food items, clothings, and also carried out medical services to the attendant guests who were majorly widows.
The widows who could not hide their joy and excitement, were not the only beneficiaries of the Foundation’s transforming philanthropic gesture, other less-priviliged Nigerians who thronged the event on Thursday, 23rd December 2022, also benefited. Everyone had something to show for being there.
For all who were beneficiaries, this year’s outing will forever remain one to remember, as the free checkup and treatment to many of them was as significant as no other. Christianity is all about charity. A man cannot be said to be serving God without serving the people around him. As disciples of Christ, it is imperative for us to follow His injunctions and examples since Jesus Christ was always reaching out, and helping the needy to solve their problems while He was still on earth. MAAF remains committed in serving the needs of the indigent, especially in this Yuletide season, as we endeavor to restore the spirit of giving because this is what the season is all about. To God be the glory forevermore.
